Janice Eimen Goodman's Obituary
Janice Eimen Goodman, 77, of Tavares, Florida, died on May 3, 2026, after a long illness. Janice had a sparkle in her eye that suggested she knew something you didn’t.
She was born on August 9, 1948, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Irvin and Dorothy Eimen. The family moved to Florida in 1956. Janice met her future husband, Randy, at Pineloch Elementary School in Orlando when they were both in third grade. She later attended Memorial Junior High School and Boone High School. Though they were separated during high school by the construction of I-4, Janice and Randy reconnected shortly after graduation, began dating, and married in 1967.
Janice and Randy had two children, Randall and Tammi. After their children were born, the family moved to Lake County, where they were involved in the family’s manufactured home business. Janice later worked for the Eustis Public Library and Lake County, positions she greatly enjoyed.
Janice and Randy were members of the Elks for 40 years. They rode Goldwing motorcycles together and were active in the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Janice loved summer vacations and holidays with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and was passionate about researching her family’s history and connecting with extended relatives across the country.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Dorothy Eimen. She is survived by her husband, Randy Goodman; her son, Randall Goodman; her daughter, Tammi (Rob) O’Neal; and her grandsons, James and Jonathan O’Neal.
The family will receive guests at Steverson’s Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, at 1:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Donations to the Florida Elks are appreciated.
