Janice Marie Carrubba's Obituary
Janice Marie Carrubba, 80, of Tavares, passed away on May 14, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 12, 1946, in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Carmen and Mary (Ricci) Moretti.
Janice moved to Miami as a child, where she met the love of her life, Michael. They first met at a Halloween party in 1966 and were married in 1967. In 2003, after retiring from her career as an office manager for a dental practice, Janice moved to Tavares with her family.
She was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and enjoyed scrapbooking, ceramics, and quilting at the Royal Harbor Clubhouse.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Michael; her son, Todd; her daughter, Wendi (husband Matthew); her grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler, Alexa, and TJ; and her great-grandchildren, MJ, Shayla, Riley, Amaya, and Russell.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 29, at 1:00 PM at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
