Janet 'Jan' Marie Myers' Obituary
Janet Marie ‘Jan’ Myers of Tavares, Florida passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the age of 58 years. She was born in Oakland, California. Jan proudly served her country in the US Air Force as a Senior Airman. After her service Jan worked as an elementary school teacher. She and her beloved husband, Frank, moved to Tavares from Davidson, NC in April 2014. At the time of her death, she was planning a very special occasion for the renewal of their wedding vows for their 10th Anniversary. She was a wonderful wife, a great mother and she adored her grandchildren. Jan was preceded in death by her two sons, Jared Abbink and Brandon Myers and two sisters, Brenda Hungate and Kathrine Blissard. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Frank; sons, Steven (Nata) Abbink of Mascoutah IL and Scott (Jennifer) Abbink of Fort Hood, TX; daughters, Krystin Bunch of Las Vegas, NV and Amanda (Walter) Aidt of West Salem, IL; as well as 10 grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora, FL on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 9:00AM. Her final resting place will be Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
