Janet Mary Gregoire's Obituary
Janet Mary Lemnah Gregoire, age 81, of Leesburg, FL and St. Albans, VT passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, FL. She was born February 4, 1936 in St. Albans, VT and was a communicant of Holy Angels Parish. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Armand J. Gregoire; daughter, Debra A. Huntoon of Laconia, NH; son, Michael J. Gregoire and his wife, Kathleen of Georgia, VT; and her three grandchildren, Ryan M. Huntoon of Wolfeboro, NH, Lauren K. Huntoon of Laconia, NH, Darik M. Gregoire of Georgia, VT; sister, Kathryn Burda of Avenel, NJ; brother, David Lemnah and his wife, Suzanne of The Villages, FL; sister-in-law, Sally Lemnah of St. Albans, VT; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Maurice and Rosemary Gregoire of Meredith, NH; brother-in-law, Robert Holcroft of Cathedral City, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She maintained a lifelong relationship with Susan Sullivan of Woodbridge, NJ, Tammy Menard of Swanton, VT, and Lori Cantin of St. Albans, VT. They would exchange birthday and Christmas gifts throughout their lives. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Margaret Lemnah; brothers, Herbert John and Gordon Francis from Swanton and St. Albans, VT. Her son-in-law, Dennis C. Huntoon of Alexandria, NH died in 2008. Janet was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved cooking and planning for family holidays and special events. As an integral part of her husband’s business, Armand’s Auto Sales, she handled the daily operations as bookkeeper and assisted in all managerial operations. Her passion as a hobby was bowling. She participated in weekly leagues at St. Albans Bowling Center in St. Albans, VT and Triangle Bowling in Tavares, FL. Her beloved team of Betty, Carolyn, Doris, Tess, and Linda enjoyed several tournaments in many states. Her friend, Linda “Flawless” Lawliss was a constant companion who visited her daily during her illness. Special Florida neighbors Skip, Kathy, Donna, Connie, Carl, and Barbara were also heart-warming friends who gave love and support to her. Janet was a volunteer at the Franklin County Senior Center in St. Albans, VT. It was a pleasure to help prepare and serve the food at the center. Janet and Armand enjoyed participating in weekly card games at the center in St. Albans and Swanton. They shared their time wintering in Leesburg and returning in early June to Champlain Valley Campground, summering on Lake Champlain. A Mass and Memorial Service is planned for June 10, 2017 at 11:00AM at Holy Angels Parish in St. Albans, VT with fellowship to follow at the Parish Hall.
