James Eugene Sweezea's Obituary
In loving memory of James Eugene Sweezea, 76, of Tavares, Florida passed away on July 12, 2026 at Solaris Healthcare Waterman. He was born September 2, 1949 in Flint, Michigan and moved to Cleveland, Ohio after he graduated from college. He worked in the university bookstore and also as a cosmetologist. In 2010, he moved to Florida to be closer to his mother. He is survived by his best friend, Derrick MacArthur and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He always valued and treasured his family and friends. He liked to be involved in the community. He was on the Tavares Firefighters Pension Board, and was his community HOA President. He worked in hotel hospitality and wrote several hotel training manuals. He belonged to the Elks, Amvets and enjoyed the Shriners.
