James Lee Reed's Obituary
James Lee Reed, of Tavares, FL, passed away on August 27, 2024 at Advent Waterman Hospital. He was born December 21, 1935 in Drift, KY, to Ward L. and Rebecca J. (Hoffman) Reed.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years: Shelby Calton Reed; two daughters: Janet (David) Johnson and Deborah Reed of Leesburg, FL; son: Robert (Jennifer) Reed of Kingston, TN; daughter in law Brenda Hudnell Reed of Drift, KY; sister: Shirley (Johnny) Belcher of Drift, KY. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and close family friends and church family. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ward L. and Rebecca J. Reed; brother: Charles Alan Reed; son: James Brent Reed and a granddaughter: Rebecca Reed, and his father and mother in law Hargis and Mousie Calton. He was a past member of the Drift Presbyterian Church and a current member of Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Leesburg, FL. A memorial service is planned for October 5, 2024 at 11:00AM at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 700 South 9th St. Leesburg, FL 34748.
