James Lee "Jim" King's Obituary
James Lee “Jim” King of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the age of 73 years. He was born in Bassett, Virginia. Jim served eight years in the US Coast Guard. He worked as a dispatcher in the trucking industry for over 30 years until his retirement. He and his wife, Carol, moved to central Florida in 2004 from Virginia. In 2010 they relocated to Kentucky only to return to Leesburg in March 2013. Jim loved to fish. He enjoyed playing shuffle board and pool. Jim also enjoyed working in the yard and did so whenever he could. He looked forward to going out with friends to enjoy a good meal and playing board games on Friday night. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Mae Carter in 2011. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 38 years, Carol; son, Tim King of Clarksville, Tennessee; daughter, Debbie Waldron of Roanoke, Virginia; sisters, Doris King of Richmond, Virginia and Hilda Ratford of Bent Mountain, Virginia; grandchildren, Jeanette, Chrissy, Maggie, Zach and Nick and 9 great grandchildren. A memorial ceremony will be held in the near future. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
