James Gary Grainger's Obituary
James Gary Grainger, age 79, of Yalaha passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, March 11 2010. James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty; one daughter, Dr. Jody Bryant Newman (husband Raymond); two grandsons, Lance Bryant (wife Julie, great grandson Logan, great granddaughter Landyn) and Clint Bryant (wife Kathryn). He was a teacher for 30 years at the Lake Tech Center in Eustis, FL and the West Columbia Trade School, West Columbia, SC. His favorite work was that of minister, missionary, counselor, and friend to the many he met and helped through his experiences with the Lake County Jail Ministry and as a missionary, both in the states and internationally. James was the son of John Rowell (deceased) and Clemmie Rowell (deceased). He was a veteran, having served in the US Army. James would want to be remembered for his incredible faith in God- “And we know that ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28). A Funeral Service for Mr. Grainger was held on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares, FL. Interment followed at Astatula Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 12:00PM until 1:00PM. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E.
