James Patrick Dalton's Obituary
Mr. James Patrick Dalton of Monroe, Michigan, formerly of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the age of 78 years. He was born in the Bronx, New York to William and Christina Dalton, who preceded him in death. Jim honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from AT&T after many years of service. Jim moved to Leesburg from New York and relocated to Michigan in 2009. In his free time, he was an avid reader of novels. Jim is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 15 years, Juanita; son, Robert Dalton and his wife, Cathy of St. Cloud, Florida; step-sons, Brian McGee of Monroe, Michigan and Steven McGee of Ocklawaha, Florida, step-daughter, Joyce and her husband, Ted Gay of Monroe, Michigan; sister, Christina Grant of Leesburg, Florida; granddaughters, Jacklyn Dalton and Marilyn Dalton; step-granddaughter, Melissa and her husband, Dean Slater and great grandchildren Davin & Brylee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife in 1995, Marilyn, his daughter, Patty Dalton and step-grandson, Matthew McGee. Friends are invited to gather for viewing on Sunday, March 17 from 1:00 until 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 18 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Arrangements are entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Tavares, Florida. Condolences and memories may be shared on the tribute wall.
