James Bertis Couse, age 85, of Tavares passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019. He was born August 28, 1933 in Elmira, NY and moved to Florida in 1971 from Elmira. He was an automobile mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Mae Couse of Tavares, FL; sons, Michael James Couse of Casselberry, FL, Daniel William Couse of Umatilla, FL; daughter, Deborah Jean Berger of AZ; sister, Jane Tourtelot of PA; grandchildren, Daniel William Couse, Jr., David James Couse; great-grandchildren, Owen Matthew Couse, Karter Wayne Couse; step-great-grandchildren, Connor Harrison, Nathan Harrison, Mia Viars; and several nieces and nephews.
