James D. Allman's Obituary
James D. Allman, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all he met, passed away on April 17, 2023, after a bravely fought battle with a long illness. Jim was born on March 13, 1966, in Charleston, WV. He grew up in Hurricane, WV and graduated from Hurricane High School in 1984. He was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Cold War Era. After completing his service, Jim returned home to West Virginia, and later moved to Eustis, Florida. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends, taking trips to the mountains and the beach, cruises, fishing with his grandson, and being part of the joy of life.
Jim was greeted in Heaven by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, his grandparents, Brady and Lora Bell, grandparents Jasper and Lucille Allman, uncles, Aunt June, and a very dear cousin, Max. Staying behind to treasure his memory are his loyal wife of 27 years, Kim, his sons, Jeff of Hurricane, WV, Colton, of Orlando, FL, daughter, Jamie, of Lakeland, FL, dad, Harold Allman, of Cross Lanes, WV, mother, Loretta Hamon and sister, Lora Davis (Bob), both of Ocala, FL. Jimmy was a proud Paw Paw to LJ, Karris, and Maverick and uncle to his #1 fan, Logan Davis.
Jim’s family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the outstanding nurses of ICU, Zone 2, of Advent Waterman Hospital in Tavares, Florida for their superior level of care and compassion, and to Dr. Leslie Matesick for her gentle patience and outstanding care.
