James Allen "Jim" Spooner's Obituary
Mr. James Allen “Jim” Spooner, of Tavares, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the age of 47 years. He was born in Portland, Oregon to Carl and Janet Spooner. Jim moved to central Florida from Massachusetts in the early 1990’s and then returned to Oregon several years later only to return to this area 18 months ago. He worked in construction until he was injured on the job, about 10 years ago. Jim loved to go fishing and camping and just enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Dihanna and his two daughters, Ashliegh Ervin and Elizabeth Spooner, all of Tavares; his mother, Janet Spooner of Tavares; brothers, Ron Spooner of Portland, Oregon, Carl Spooner of Prineville, Oregon and Jack and his wife, Debbie Spooner of Roseville, California; sister, Beth Halstead of Tavares; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial ceremony was held on Friday, April 8 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Tavares, FL, 352-343-4444.
