Steve Sutherland
I loved you from the very first time I met you at QB's. What a great smile, sense of humor and just an all around great person. It was so much fun and interesting to hear your stories and history. I'll really miss having lunch with you, Jack, I think we ate at every restaurant in Leesburg. I'll miss your presentations that Joel was so kind to set up for you. I'll also miss visiting you when you were confined in different health facilities.
I can't get over the aerobatics you did in multiple types of airplanes, Pitts, Mustangs L-39's and whatever you could get your hands on at the age of 100.You are quite the guy Jack and a real hero. We, all of your friends were hoping that you would make it till the P-47 was completed. I remember Steve telling you that you had to go at least two more years to enable you to see the first flight. So sorry you didn't make it Jack.
I'll be looking for you out at heavens airport Jack. Have a great flight west Jack, unlimited climb and strong tailwinds.
Love ya Buddy.
