Jack A. Allums' Obituary
Jack A. Allums, a native of Moultrie, Georgia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the age of 88 years. He was born July 28, 1928 to A.V. “Gus” Allums and Maude Singletary Allums. Jack moved to Orlando, Florida in 1952 after a tour of duty in the US Navy. He lived in Orlando for 51 years where he worked as a Glazier for 41 years. Jack attended the Church of the Nazarene in Leesburg, Florida, where he has lived since 2007. He is survived by his 2 sons, Dennie and his wife, Marsha of Leesburg and Richard and his wife, Delores of Apopka, Florida; step-son, Paul Holmes and his wife, April of Cape Coral, Florida; step-daughter-in-law, Pat Holmes of Littleton, Colorado; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by Irene Thurston Allums and Helen Markham Allums. A graveside ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 11 at 11:00 am at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando.
