Irene Frances Solomon, age 86, of Tavares passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. She was born February 9, 1930 in New York, NY and moved to Lake County in 1985. She was a retired legal secretary. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards. She is survived by her son, Jeff Solomon of Allen, TX; daughter, Lori Lawrence of Fruitland Park, FL; grandchildren, Francesca Lawrence, Jessica Quinn, and Jordan Solomon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Solomon; and a sister, Helen Zini. Inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/memorial.
