Hi John and Flo,
Naturally I was shocked to hear of Ian's passing. I am thinking of you both and remembering our early years with our boys, just trying to figure out what to do. We were the parents who cared and would do anything for our children. Even though we haven't been in touch for a long time, I know that you have always been dedicated to Ian. I remember when you went to the Dolman (spelling) Center and came back with so much hope and clarity. I know it's been a joy and a challenge at the same time raising Ian. We're good fighters...but ultimately Ian had a different path and I imagine that your faith steers you towards a deep understanding of that and a gratitude for the time you spent with such a loving spirit in Ian.
I wish you both peace and comfort in your days of grieving. May you feel all the love that is around you...even as far away as me. Your loving circle is wide.
I plan to come to the funeral next Monday to pay my respects to Ian and to see you both.
My thoughts are with you,
Susan Thiele
