Hugh W. Black's Obituary
Hugh W. Black, 87, of Mount Dora, FL, passed away on May 2, 2024. He was born on November 18, 1936, in Garards Fort, PA, to his parents: W. Edward Black and Helen Williamson. In 1956 he married Peggy and moved to Ohio. Hugh was a truck driver for Reliance Electric and a United States Army veteran. Hugh and his wife were very active in Lake County, Ohio 4-H horse clubs. In 1996, they moved to Mount Dora, Florida.
Hugh is survived by his daughter: Judy L. Black Voss, his grandchildren: Zachary and Olivia Voss, and many loyal friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife: Peggy M. Black, his parents, and several brothers and sisters.
Hugh will be laid to rest at a later date at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis, FL. In lieu of floweres please make donations to your local 4-H organization. Arrangements are entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin and Hilbish Funerals and Cremations in Tavares, FL.
