Helen S. "Dee" Russell's Obituary
Helen S. "Dee" Russell 73, of Tavares, passed away on February 23, 2016. She was born in Palestine, Arkansas and moved to Tavares in 1996 from Millington, Tennessee. She was a member of Harmony Community Church of Mount Dora. She was a former manager of telephone operators for South Central Bell Telephone in Memphis, Tennessee and the former President of the Civitan Club of Memphis. Helen was a Professional Guardian an avid golfer and the President of the Baytree Neighborhood Association. She is remembered and will be dearly missed by her husband William, her children; Lisa (Vern) Manka of Grand Prairie, Texas, Wendy (Bob) May of Holly Springs, Mississippi and William (Gina) Russell III of Columbia, Tennessee, her sister; Diane Goodman of Mississippi and her grandchildren; Preston Manka, Bobby May, Hannah May, Braden Russell and Owen Russell. Memorial services will be held in the Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Saturday, February 27th at 1 PM with Rev. Richard N. Root officiating.
