Harriet W. Bender's Obituary
Harriet W. Bender, age 85, of Clermont, FL passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011. She was born November 2, 1925 in Marshalltown, Iowa and has lived in Florida for the last 56 years. She is survived by her children, Dee Bender, Mark Bender and Kris Walker, 4 grandchildren and 6, soon to be 7, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald R. Bender and son, Gordon Bender. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 4:00PM at the Clerbrook RV Resort in Clermont, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice with warm thoughts of Harriet. Harriet will be buried next to her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778.
