Harold Hill's Obituary
Harold I. Hill, age 87, of Mt. Dora and Fairfield, CT, passed away on November 27, 2010 after a short illness. He was a member of the 303rd Engineer Combat Battalion of the of the 78th infantry Division which received special honors “for initiative and courage under heavy fire” during the Battle of the Bulge. He earned a B.S. in Engineering from Brown University and a Masters Degree from Columbia University. He retired from the Perkin-Elmer Company in Norwalk Connecticut, a leader in Analytical Instruments. He was awarded seven patents for his research and development of new medical instruments. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marlene; children, David (Ting-Ting), Deborah and Daniel (Sarah); grandsons, Nathaniel and Jasper; sister-in-law, Pat; four nephews and a niece. He was predeceased by his younger brother, Richard.
