Grace Holloway Anderson's Obituary
Mrs. Grace Holloway Anderson, of Leesburg, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the age of 98 years. She was born in Alabama and moved to this area in 1962 from Gadsden, AL. She was an owner/operator of Tiki Village Mobile Home Park in Tavares where she served as Social Director for 42 years. Grace was an avid shuffleboard player at Tiki Village and the Tavares Recreational Association (TRA) and was State Champion. She also called Bingo at Tiki Village when she wasn’t playing and loved to play cards. Grace was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tavares. She is remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Baughn and Linda Holloway of Leesburg; son and daughter-in-law, William and Lee Holloway of Gadsden, AL; son, H.B. Holloway, Jr. of Gadsden; daughter, Kathreen Pitts of Gadsden; brother and sister-in-law, James and Carol Harden of NC; sister, Eloise Landers of Gadsden; two grandchildren, Belynda Rinck and her husband, Mike of Tavares and Billy Holloway of Fruitland Park; as well as 12 great grandchildren. Friends were invited to gather on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. A funeral ceremony was held on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Tavares. Burial took place at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church of Tavares, 124 N. Joanna Ave., Tavares, FL 32778. Arrangements were entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, Tavares, 352-343-4444. Condolences may be left for the family by signing the guestbook below.
