Glenn E Miller's Obituary
Glenn E. Miller, age 88, of Tavares passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 after battling Alzheimer’s for over 10 years. He was born April 27, 1921 in Lima, OH and moved to Lake County in 1982 from Dayton, OH. He retired from Leland Airborne in Dayton, OH after over 40 years of service. He served as a Deacon in his church, was secretary of the Local 804 AFL-CIO, and was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during WWII. He was married to Minnie, the love of his life, for 67 years. He is survived by his wife, Minnie; son, Ken Miller of Tavares, FL; daughters, Helen (Mike) Smylie of Margate, FL and Sandra (Tom) Johnson of Longwood, FL; grandchildren, Joseph Bordonaro of Orlando, FL and Christina (Bill) Martin of Wilmington, DE; great granddaughter, Amanda Bordonaro of Orlando, FL. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father. Glenn was a role model for his children and grandchildren who have many found memories and hundreds of stories to tell that will keep his spirit alive. Please leave a condolence for the family
