Gerard J. Dupuis' Obituary
Gerard J. Dupuis, age 99, of Leesburg passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015. He was born March 1, 1916 in Holyoke, MA and moved to Leesburg in 1978 from Richmond, VA. He was a retired working for the Federal Government in Border Patrol and as an Immigration Investigator. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WWII. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, NARFE, FORBPO, FMO, Mid-FL ROC, and was on the board of directors and a founding member of Molokai CO-OP. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Emma Dupuis of Leesburg, FL; son, Philip Dupuis of Leesburg, FL; daughters, Louise Horgan of Leesburg, FL and Alice Dupuis of Leesburg, FL; grandchildren, Matthew G. (Mary Catherine) Horgan of Wheat Ridge, CO, and David J. Horgan of Tavares, FL. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 8:30AM, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Leesburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778, (352)343-4444. Online condolences may be left on the Tribute Wall.
