George E. Schueller, Jr.'s Obituary
George E. Schueller, Jr., age 82, of Leesburg passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016. He was born January 26, 1934, the only child of George and Ruth Schueller. He was raised in Middletown, OH, graduated from Middletown High School and attended Ohio Northern University, where he was a member of Mu Beta Chapter of Phi Mu Delta Fraternity. Later he attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated with a degree in Commerce, majoring in Transportation and Traffic Management. He was employed by Armco Steel Corp. (AK Steel) for 29 years and retired as Traffic Manager of the Houston Texas works when they closed the facility. Later he worked for Solvay America as a Transportation Specialist and moved to Leesburg when he retired from Solvay in 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly of 56 years; and is survived by a son, Michael and his wife, Kathy of Spring, TX; a grandson, Randal and his wife, Jeni of Kingwood, TX; and 2 great-grandchildren. He served with the U.S. Army in Korea from 1955 to 1956, was a life-member of the Transportation Club of Houston, TX, Past President of Delta Nu Alpha (National Transportation Fraternity), Regional Vice President of Delta Nu Alpha, Past Master of Tavares Masonic Lodge #234 F&AM, Past Master of Memorial Lodge #18, member of Bahia Shrine Temple Orlando, FL, The Lake County Shrine Club, American Legion Post #219 Fruitland Park, FL. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares, where he was an usher for many years. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10:00AM. Entombment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Tavares in care of The Choir Fund.
