George Charles Maloof Jr.'s Obituary
George C. Maloof, Jr., 81 years of age, passed away on March 7th 2020 in Mount Dora, Florida.
George was born in Pawtucket, RI, and is a 1960 graduate of the University of Miami. George had a successful 20-year career in corporate America, but he found his calling as a professional gaming player, with noted accomplishments in Las Vegas, Nevada.
George served in the US Army and the 82nd Airborne, and was called back into service during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
George met the love of his life, Sharon Lee, in the SCOT Club, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, in Long Beach, California on April 1, 1965.
George is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Lee Williams-Maloof; his son, David Maloof and daughter-in-law, Velva Carter-Maloof of Smyrna, Georgia; and his daughter, Joyce Vaught, Son-in-law, Christopher Vaught, and grand-daughter, Lauren Vaught of Fort Worth, Texas. George was proceeded in death by his parents, George C. Maloof, Sr. and Hazel E. Maloof.
