Gary James Dupuis' Obituary
Gary James Dupuis of The Villages, age 76, passed away on November 26th, 2018 after a two month courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 1st, 1942 in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Henry and Connie Dupuis and moved to Florida in 1982.
Gary was the owner of Lake Jem Auto and Marine Sales, a business that combined his love for cars and people for close to 30 years. He had a passion for sailing, loved to travel and most weekends you could find him on the golf course and working in his yard. His sense of humor and love of life will be greatly missed. Gary did not know a stranger, could strike up a conversation with anyone and made a difference to all that knew him. He was a good, kind and loving man that loved his family.
He leaves behind his devoted wife Glenda of The Villages, son Gary J. Dupuis II of Eustis, FL, daughters Kimberly Gerardi (Donnie) of Spencer, MA, Ryan Oliver (Vince) of Eustis, FL, Sandra Frisby (Phil) of Mt. Dora, FL and Elizabeth Morris (Philip) of Eustis, FL, brother David Dupuis of Apopka, FL. Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation with family is from 11:15 to 12:00 and service at 12:00pm, Saturday December 8th, 2018 at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish located at 226 E. Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL. There will be a celebration of life gathering for all following services, with food and drinks at Elks Lodge located at 2540 Dora Ave, Tavares, FL.
