Gary "Doc" Burnham's Obituary
Gary “Doc” Burnham was born on December 18, 1947 in Ironton, MO to Melvin and Rose Burnham. He passed on June 29, 2020 surrounded by his daughters and two of his grandsons. Doc was a larger than life personality and loved to tell a good story as much as everyone around him loved to hear them. He enjoyed riding his Harley with his friends and having coffee overlooking the water. Doc was a medic in the US Navy, serving in Vietnam. He was decorated with the Purple Heart for the lives he saved during that time. Along with his parents, he is proceeded in death by his brothers Michael, Pat, Danny and David. He is survived by his daughters Tracy Lynn Burnham of Powder Springs, GA and Ginger (Jamie) Blair of Newnan, Ga. Grandchildren Drew Schultz, Heather Krussell, Jacob Blair and Sawyer Blair. Brother Tim Blair of Mo, nieces and nephews and a community of friends like family to him that loved him. He will be remembered for his giving heart, charismatic personality and huge love and he will he missed by all every day. A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares.
