Garnet C. Smith's Obituary
Garnet C. Smith of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Smithers, West Virginia. Garnet was a homemaker, raising and taking care of her family. She and her husband, Kenneth moved to Leesburg from South Carolina. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Tavares. Garnet enjoyed reading and working out crossword puzzles. She also loved to go down to the pool and swim. She was preceded in death in February 2000 by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth M. Smith and her two brothers, Robert Craigo in 2013 and Kenneth Craigo in 1993. Garnet is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Connie Zaspel and her husband, Philip of Leesburg and Karen Smith of Leesburg; son, Bradley Smith and his wife, Kristine of Leesburg; sister, Ruth Ballard of Boomer, WV; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Kuntz of Riverview, FL, Craig Zaspel of Chesapeake, VA, Alison Wright of Pasadena, MD, Karriann Smith of Murfreesboro, TN, Ian Smith of Bradenton, FL, Trenton Smith of Dayton, OH and Brittny Smith of Bradenton; as well as five great grandchildren. Her final resting place will be next to her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
