Fredrick "Freddy" Scorsone's Obituary
Fredrick “Freddy” Scorsone of Tavares, Florida passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the age of 69 years. He was born in Warsaw, New York. Freddy played on the baseball team as a catcher at Perry High School in Perry, NY. He received a scholarship from high school to continue his education at Ithaca College, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. Freddy worked as a Physical Education teacher near Albany, NY for many years. He was a huge sports fan. He loved baseball and was a Cardinals fan. He was a Syracuse football fan as well. He loved fishing, collected baseball cards and enjoyed playing and winning at Bingo. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the mid 1980’s where he worked as a security guard. In the early 1990’s he moved to Tavares, Florida. Freddy attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora. He worked at Landphair Meat & Seafood in Leesburg and later at Irene’s Pub in Tavares. Freddy is remembered and will be dearly missed by his sisters, Gert (George) Panacci of Lawrenceville, GA and Mary Scorsone of Jupiter, FL; brother, Philip Scorsone of Williamsville, NY; nieces, Kim Cresse of Cape May, NJ, Amy Bucholtz of Williamsville and Gail Panacci D’Azanzo of Thousand Oaks, CA; nephews, Andrew Scorsone of Amherst, NY and Gene Panacci of Roswell, GA; great niece, Stephanie Cresse of Cape May and great-great nephew, Nathan Brockman of Cape May.
