Fred Karwacki's Obituary
Mr. Fred Karwacki of Tavares, age 84, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009. He was born July 26, 1925 in Grand Haven, Michigan. His parents were John and Frances Karwacki. He was employed by Honeywell, Inc in Minneapolis for 30 years. He graduated from Michigan State College, Engineering and was a veteran of the US Army, having served in WWII, European Theater and received the Purple Heart. He moved to central Florida in 1987 from Minnesota. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Eustis and a member of Newcomer's Boat Club. His hobbies and interests included Civil War history, boating, and he was a Ham Radio operator. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Arlene; sons, John (Cindy) Karwacki of St. Louis Park, MN and David Karwacki of Bloomington, MN; daughter, Claire Marugg of New Hartford, CT; and two grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Mr. Karwacki will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Eustis, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Eustis, or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778.
