Franklin Morris' Obituary
Franklin Morris Sr., 73, of Leesburg went home on Tuesday Nov 4, 2009 to be with the Lord. Franklin was a long time resident of the Tavares area and he worked at Lake Region Packing for 40 plus years. He was a proud Navy man who served his country for 10 years; he was a life member of VFW and AMVETS of Tavares. He lived life to the fullest. He is survived by his children, Franklin Morris Jr., Danny Paterson, David Paterson, Mary Morris, Catherine Klauzowski; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and companion Ellen Morris. His daughter Catherine Klauzowski has written a few words about her father that she wants to share with you. My Daddy was a wonderful man that I loved more than words can say. He was an honorable man who loved his family and his country. Most of all he loved me, know matter what I did or the mistakes I made he was there. He helped me through one of the toughest times of my life, the passing of my Mother, after that we were inseparable because we both knew we needed each other. I held my Daddy's hand and sang Amazing Grace, telling him how much I loved him when the Lord was taking him home. Daddy, I'll always love and miss you, there will not be a day that goes by that I won't think about you and I'll tell your stories just like if they were coming from your lips. I love you Daddy! Friends may call on family from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009 at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL. Please sign the guestbook for the family.
