Francis Jacob Kaminski's Obituary
Francis Jacob “Frank” Kaminski, 86, of Tavares died Thursday. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he enlisted in the Navy after graduating from Woodward High School in Toledo. He served on four different aircraft carriers during a 20-year career in the Navy. After retiring to Tavares in 1977, he started a second career for Lake Region Packing Association. He was a Catholic.
He was predeceased by Jean, his wife of nearly 62 years, who was longtime executive officer of the Lake County Homebuilders Association. He is survived by two sons, David (wife Nevy) of Miami and Brian (wife Alisa) of Leesburg, and four grandchildren, Brianna, Zakary, Clara (Cookie) and Maria. He is also survived by his sister Judy (husband John) of Davenport.
