Frances Eleanor Stapleton, age 83 yrs., of Mt. Dora, Florida passed away on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020. She is survived by her loving husband Clyde (Bud) Stapleton and their daughters, Elizabeth Ann Stapleton-DaSilva of Largo, Florida, son-in-law William (Bill) DaSilva and Melissa Jane Stapleton of Clemson, South Carolina, son-in-law, Bryan Hoover and grandchildren Kelsey Amerzee Rudder, Blake McKinley Rudder and Zachary James DaSilva.
Frances received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Eastern Kentucky University, later, two additional Master's Degrees were obtained from Eastern Michigan University. Fran retired with the Michigan Public School System, where she taught for Van Buren Public Schools in Belleville, Michigan for over 30 years. During her many years as an educator, she was also a dedicated member of the ADK Teacher Sorority. Her love for children and their learning was a significant treasure that followed her throughout her life.
After moving to Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, she decided that she was not ready to retire. Her focus now became teaching English to adults at Roane State Community College in Crossville, Tennessee for 6 years. Fran's passion became teaching literacy and creative writing, to those who were underserved. She enjoyed golfing with her family, friends, golf leagues and in Club tournaments. Fran was an avid reader; many years were spent with her daughters reading at libraries and bookstores. She enjoyed gardening flowers and plants around her home, she especially loved the rose gardens that her husband planted for her. Vegetable Gardening, since she was a little girl, led her to become a passionate cook, baker and cannery specialist. Frances led an amazing and fulfilled life, where she touched many hearts. But, most importantly, she was a great wife, mother and grandmother. Fran was a lovely person, always smiling and laughing.
Heaven gained an Angel, and she will be greatly missed.
