Frances Ann Ribachonek's Obituary
Frances Ann Ribachonek (née Gallagher), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, in Tavares, Florida, surrounded by love. She was 74 years old.
Born on December 5, 1951, in New York, New York, Frances lived a life rooted in care for others and deep devotion to her family. She was thoughtful and steady, with a presence that brought comfort and reassurance to those around her.
In September of 1972, Frances married the love of her life, Edward Ribachonek. Over their more than 53 years together, they built a life grounded in love, family, and shared adventures. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Jennifer (married to Tim) and her son Matthew (married to Sarah). Her greatest joy was being “Grandma” to her cherished grandchildren, Lia and Gabriel, whom she loved with all her heart.
Frances is survived by her loving sisters and brothers-in-law: Carlene (Jeff) Endick, Catherine (Russell) Thomas, and Laura (Douglas) Katz. She was also a cherished aunt to her nieces and nephews and their children and families. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Barbara Gallagher.
Frances dedicated 45 years of her life to her calling as a Registered Nurse in both New York and Florida. In her long and distinguished career, she touched countless lives. Nursing was not just her work. It reflected who she was. She cared for others with an open heart and calm strength.
She loved music, travel, and the beauty of nature, especially the beach, the mountains, and sunsets. Known by those who loved her as an absolute saint, Frances was warm, fun, and gracious, with a quiet strength that defined her. Throughout her life, Frances faced health challenges with courage and dignity.
Above all else, Frances was devoted to her family. Her love was constant and unconditional, and her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved. A celebration of her life will be planned for Summer 2026.
