Frances S. Blanton's Obituary
Frances S. Blanton, age 90, of Tavares passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024. She was born August 27, 1933 in Six Mile, SC and moved to Tavares in 1958. She worked part time as a substitute school teacher, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares, and had her private pilot’s license. She loved her family and spent quality time with them at their sporting events and activities. She is survived by her sons, Lane Blanton Of Wilton Manors, FL, Brad Blanton of Tavares, FL; daughter, Julie Howard of Jacksonville, FL; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Blanton. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 10:00AM until 1100AM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00AM. Interment will take place at Tavares Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice of Lake County.
