Florine M. Belliveau's Obituary
Florine (FLO) Mary Belliveau, age 91, of Tavares, FL passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 surrounded by her Niece, Marie Gionet, the loving caretakers at Osprey Lodge Tavares and the angels of Cornerstone Hospice. She was born August 16, 1925 in Newburyport, MA to Placide Alphonse Belliveau and Marie Bella (Goguen) Belliveau. Florine was the eldest of twelve and is survived by her siblings; Diane Gionet, Dorilla Broduer, Aline Roberge, Clarence Belliveau, Cecile Belliveau and Rita Denomme, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Florine was blessed with many skills and talents which she applied throughout her lifetime. She became an acclaimed “Ham Operater” and first female president of the Montachusett Radio Club, which was part of the Amateur Radio Emergency Corps for civil defense work during WWII. Florine began her career as a telephone operator in Fitchburg, MA., then relocated to Orlando, FL in 1958 where she continued her education, eventually obtaining her Master’s degree. She then established a long and successful career as an engineer with Lockheed/Martin where she retired. A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 25, 2017 at 11:00AM at Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home, located at: 226 East Burleigh Blvd. Tavares, FL 32778. A Gathering will be held prior to the service from 10:30AM to 11:00AM. The family invites you to join them for lunch and to share memories after the service from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Steverson Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.steversonhamlinhilbish.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2245 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778. Flo’s final resting place will be at the Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Howey-In-The-Hills, FL.
