Eugene J. Ryan's Obituary
Eugene J. Ryan, of Leesburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 at the age of 86 years. He was born in Buffalo, NY to Charles T. and Blanche (Wolf) Ryan. Eugene served in the US Army in WWII. He moved to central Florida in 1981 after his retirement from the Buffalo Board of Education-Operating Engineers. He enjoyed ball room dancing and attended the Eustis Senior Center every Saturday night to dance. He also loved Golf and woodworking. Eugene is remembered by his son, Thomas Eugene (Nicola) Ryan of Batavia, NY; daughters, Joan (Tom) Brinkley of Tavares, FL and Mary (Michael) Batt of Frederick, MD; sisters, Rita Ryan, Ruth Buettner, Bernadine Pressner and Marcia (Richard) Kean, all of Buffalo, NY; grandchildren, Dr. Christopher T. (Katy) Ryan of Saratoga, NY, Nicholas A. Ryan (Janelle Johnson) of S. Daytona, FL, Alicia M. Ryan of Brockport, NY, Elizabeth A. Ryan of New Rochelle, NY, Timothy M. (Michelle) Donovan of Tavares, FL, Christina (Tony) Karr of Raleigh, NC, Benjamin S. (Amy) Donovan of Monroe, WA, Charles M. Batt of Rome, NY, Joseph M. Batt of Rome, NY, SSGT Daniel J. Batt of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Sarah M. Batt of Darnestown, MD as well as 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three infant children.
