Ernest Carlton Moore, Sr., age 99, of Tavares passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014. He was born June 25, 1914 in Florida. He was a retired fruit inspector and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in WWII. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Tavares. He is survived by his sons, Ernest C. Moore, Jr. of Clearwater, FL and Jimmy H. Moore of Eustis, FL; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 1:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. Interment will follow at Tavares Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL 32778, (352)343-4444. Online condolences may be left on the Tribute Wall.
