Emogene was one of the sweetest women I have ever met.... She was so helpful and pleasant when I ran for City Council and she gave me her lifetime knowledge about becoming a politician...LOL My heart is with her and her wonderful family. She will be surely missed....

I met Emogene when I married her nephew Mark Wheeler and from the first moment, she made me feel like family. Emer, as we called her, was so easy to talk to and took interest in all that was happening in our lives. A kinder woman I could not have met. I will be forever grateful for the time I had getting to know her and to experience her awesome Egg Custard Pie, a favorite of mine. She will be missed by so many. GOD bless you my dear lady.

When I moved to Lake County in 2001, Emogene was almost the first person I met when I registered to vote here. We had numerous conversations after that time. Some were just to chat and some were business.
I could feel in her the same values that I alway had in my business. I can still face the mirror, day or night, and know I treated everyone with the highest standards.
