Elizabeth Mary Pfau, age 89, of Leesburg passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was born January 18, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Lake County in 1989 from Fair Lawn, NJ. She attended St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis, FL. Elizabeth was very artistic, and loved drawing in her spare time. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jacob “Jack” Pfau of Leesburg, FL; daughters, Christine Cahill of Plainfield, NJ, Catherine Stewart of Denver, CO, Anne Plocker of Atlantis, FL, Patricia Walker of Yankton, SD; sons, Philip Pfau of Wayne, NJ, Thomas Pfau of North Brunswick, NJ; sister, Joan Argenzio of Locust Grove, VA; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00PM. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:15PM at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
