Elizabeth D. Jirik's Obituary
Elizabeth D. Jirik 84, of Leesburg passed away on July 13, 2013. She was born October 30, 1928 in Albany, Ohio and moved to Central Florida in July of 1985 from Columbus, Ohio. She was a retired Educator in the public schools of Ohio and had worked as a buyer for a gift store. Elizabeth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares, a member and former Women of the Year of the Tavares Pilot Club and a member of the Tavares Garden Club. She was predeceased by her husband Edward in June of this year; survivors include her daughter Eleanor Leslie Briggs of Kailua, Hawaii, son Edward F. Jirik of Germantown, Tennessee five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Elizabeth was also predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Ann Evener in 2007 and her brother David T. Dailey. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lake Port Square, East Building Lobby, on Wednesday July 17th from 3 until 4 PM. Clergy will be provided by the First United Methodist Church of Tavares.
