Edwin G. Klenk, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Margaret, and his brothers Raymond and Oscar. Edwin will be missed by his wife of Read Obituary
Loved Ed for his humor, his humility, and his bringing the joy of music to thousands of students. First memory I have of Ed is when he made me cry as he introduced me to his hot pepper soaked vegetables. He will be with a multitude of us in our hearts forever. Tom Hetherman
Seems like yesterday when we were all together at the middle school. Ed was a kind, talented man. Three of our children, Kelly, Tammy and John benefited from his band instruction at the middle school.
I was so happy when Sarah came to the middle school and she and Ed fell in love and were married. We saw each other every day in the old teachers lounge and had some good laughs. It gave me great pleasure to think of Ed playing in the band at Disney. Sarah may God give you and your family comfort.
Wonderful memories of band with Mr. Klenk at Belding High School. He was a great instructor and a kind man. Sympathies to his family and friends.

Mr. Klenk has and will be fondly remembered. He was a wonderful band teacher and terrific choir director. I have such fond band camp memories playing games and seeing his fun side and too remember how I would frustrate him and cause him to toss his baton (I was not a great student, but he truly cared). 😃
I remember before he got married and how excited he was to get married.
He always brought out the best in our love for music and taught us so much. He was so encouraging.
We three girls, the triplets (Dawn, Denise and Diane) loved singing at church with him and were privileged to know him.
We keep the family in our prayers.
Mr. Klenk was one of my favorite teachers. He was a great musician, as well, and helped foster my love of music. I thoroughly enjoyed marching band and jazz band under his guidance and have many wonderful memories of those days. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
I used to giggle when he would get mad and "toss" his conducting stick, lol. He was a wonderful teacher who inspired many of us. My best memory is when he was the one who purchased my grandparents home. He and his wife would let me come visit and just hang out. You have always been missed since you left belding, and I will see you again one day...
My heart goes out to the family of Mr. Klenk. Hard-nosed, and demanding nothing short of excellence, he was pivotal in developing my love of music. One of the best teachers who graced Belding with his knowledge, dedication, and love for his students he will be sorely missed. Thank-you Mr. Klenk for changing my life.
Mr Klenk was an invaluable part of the Klenk - Stiles duo that taught hundreds of youth instrumental music at Belding Area Schools , Belding Mi. The music that those Jr & Sr high musicians preformed after Mr. Klenk's education was exquisite.Those Marching Redskins & their families will be forever grateful for all the wonderful musical life experiences & beautiful music you gave all of us RIP
