Ed gained his wings on February 8, 2021. Ed was born in Davenport, IA on July 21, 1951 to Earl and Irene (Doyle) Bock. After moving to California, Ed graduated high school and joined the Air Force at 19. During his 20 yr career, Ed traveled the US, Korea and Germany. Ed met Anna while stationed in Kansas, and they married after a short 3 month courtship. During their 47 years of marriage, they met many amazing people traveling with the Air Force. Ed retired from the Air Force as Master Sergeant in Kansas with his wife and two sons, Darren and Justin. Even after retirement, Ed still had a strong military influence with patriotic duty to his country and fellow Veterans. Ed has touched the lives of many, including his military brothers Dan (Pam) Vigil and Sonny Ruckrigl. Ed loved sports, especially baseball. This love and competitiveness brought him closer to Darren and Justin. Ed loved being outdoors fishing, horses (Charlie), traveling and experiencing life with family and friends. Ed and Anna are supported through their faith making everlasting impacts on many lives and hearts.
Ed is preceded in death by his father, mother and brothers Mark & Matt Christensen. Ed is survived by his wife of 47 yrs Anna (Carlson) Bock, sons Darren (Lisa) Bock and Justin (Shana) Bock; siblings Earl, Richard, Raymond, Carl, Suzanne and Jan; grandchildren Hannah Bock, Braxton Bock, Ariel Bock, Nathaniel Bock, Jaron Sullivan and Dalton Wheeler.
