Earl Lee Jones' Obituary
Earl Lee Jones, 71, of Mount Dora, Florida, was called to his Heavenly Mansion on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Born in Webb, Alabama on August 2, 1949, Earl was a devoted husband, father, brother, "Pops", Uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents; Fate & Dorothy Patterson Jones, three sisters; Dorothy Mae Jones, Ruby Bailey and Mary Long; brother; Gene Jones. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Long Jones (Jeannie) married 46 years, daughter Dorothy Jones Anderson (David); son James Earl Jones (Jaci), six grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. Sisters; Sarah Jones, Becky Jones, Peggy Gamble (Jimmy), brothers; Roy Jones, Sr., (Debbie), Paul Jones, (Betty), many nieces, nephews and friends.
Earl was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Mount Dora and was a landscaper and employee of the Mount Dora Golf Association for 43 years.
Graveside services for Earl are scheduled for Tuesday, September 8th at 10:00 AM at Tavares Cemetery, 2055 Dead River Road, Tavares, Florida, 32778. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1st Baptist Church of Mount Dora, 1000 E. 1st Avenue, Mount Dora, Florida 32757, beginning at 11:00 AM after the graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Earl's memory to the Children's Department of 1st Baptist Church of Mount Dora.
