Douglas "Doug" Richard Reber's Obituary
Douglas Richard “Doug” Reber, (USAF RET) of Tavares, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the age of 74 years. He was born in Stamford, Texas. Doug proudly served his country in the US Air Force, serving in Vietnam. He retired after 24 years. He moved to Ocala, Florida in 1993 and then to Lake County settling in Tavares. Doug loved to play Golf. He also enjoyed college football and was a fan of the Florida State Seminoles as well as the Texas Longhorns. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 10 years, Sara; son, Todd Reber and his wife, Sabrina of Destin, Florida; daughter, Carri Lee of Pensacola, Florida; step-children, Teresa Albritton and her husband, Richard of Tavares, Lisa Swallows and her husband, Roger of Clark Range, Tennessee, Bobby Mickler of Frankston, Texas, Alvin Mickler and his wife, Sally of Springtown, Texas, Rodney Mickler of Tavares, Cindy Pharis and her husband, Jeff of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida and Frank Mickler of Frankston, Texas; grandchildren Alexandria, Savannah and Ty; as well as 18 step-grandchildren and 26 step-great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Monday, April 4 from 1:30 until 3:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 3:00 pm, all in the funeral home chapel. His final resting place will be Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared on the tribute wall.
