Dorothy R. Hudson, age 92, of Tavares passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014. She was born July 9, 1921 in Buffalo, NY and moved to Florida in 1977 from Detroit, MI. She was a retired teacher. She loved cooking, camping, and traveling. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Jackson of Tavares, FL; grandchildren, Darcie Jackson of Tampa, FL and Daryl Jackson of Tavares, FL; great-granddaughter, Jada Ruth Jackson of Tavares, FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 2:00PM at Tavares Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funerals and Cremations, 226 E.
