Doris Jean Staley's Obituary
Doris Jean Staley 84, of Tavares Florida passed from this life at home on Nov 11th, 2022.
Doris was born in E. Liverpool Ohio on January 26th, 1938 to Helen and Homer Allison. She grew up and attended school on the banks of the Ohio river in Chester W.Va where she met and married her husband and high school sweetheart James A. Staley.
The small town football player and cheerleader were married in 1956 and had two sons, Mark T Staley and James M. (Mike) Staley. Their marriage was one of loving and devotion for 55 years until the passing of Jim in 2011.
Doris was an accomplished interior designer and enjoyed gardening, decorating, and entertaining with family and friends. Her other passions included making all types of crafts and being involved in her local community at Tiki Village. Her life was one of always caring for others before herself, and she was loved by all that she touched.
Doris was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband and her son Mark. She is survived by her oldest son and daughter in-law Mike and Teri, her granddaughter Erin Broomfield and grandson Tyler Staley.
A private gathering of family and friends will be scheduled at a future date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) in memory of Mark T. Staley
