Donnell Rowe's Obituary
Mr. Donnell “Coach” Rowe age 76 of Astatula, Florida passed away Saturday August 5, 2023, in Tavares Fl. following an extended illness. He was born in Nashville, Georgia on August 10, 1946, to Reford and Atwell Rowe of Alapaha, Georgia.
Mr. Rowe made his home in Astatula, Florida where he worked as a forklift operator/ in shipping and receiving at Space Masters in Leesburg Fl. His passion was coaching Tavares Youth football (Ages 7-9) for 36 years.
He enjoyed the simple things in life, like fishing, growing his garden, and spending time with his most treasured blessing, his family. Mr. Rowe was a member of Astatula Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reford and Atwell Rowe, his 5 brothers, Marvin (Judy) Rowe, Robert Rowe, Maxwell Rowe, Ronnie Rowe, Harris Rowe, and one sister Vivian Stone.
Survivors include:
Wife: Linda Faye Rowe of Astatula, Florida
Son: Kevin and wife Carrie of Astatula, Florida
Grandson: Chase Maxwell Rowe of Astatula, Florida
One sister, Mary Ola Nugent,
Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Rowe are Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Astatula Baptist church. He will lie in state at the church from 10 to 11 am with the funeral service to follow. Graveside to follow in Astatula Cemetery. Steverson, Hamlin, and Hilbish funeral home are in charge of the arrangements.
