Gary, Dale and Gail, I send condolences on your dad. Uncle Don was always a worker, and a goer. Last week, I couldn't find the obituary, but I found Aunt Marion's, and after they got married, it was the same - well, the same family - told differently, in Aunt Marion's! I still have bookends that Uncle Don made over here with me in Korea. I hope he knew Jesus and can see Him now. We are remembering the times Don and Marian spent at Camp Michawana. Don was a real worker. He dug in and made some good improvements like putting in the retaining wall at the waterfront, remodeling the upstairs apartment to make a bathroom space more functional with a shower, and moving the laundry from the basement to the apartment.

We extend our sympathies for your loss of your father. God bless all the family at this sad time.

Steve and I have some wonderful memories serving our Lord with Don and Marion at SpringHill Camps and Camp Michawana. We spent 11 years not only volunteering together but also playing cards every night. They joined us on a cruise to celebrate our Anniversary and they were a hit playing the Newlywed game on the ship. So many great memories. Don will be missed as is Marion. Our prayers for the family as they mourn the recent loss of Don.

Don was a nice guy as we got to know him. Playing a game with him was very serious and we had some good times! Meeting him next door when he was picking up the news paper was always a “good morning… how are you”
