Donald "Don" C. Johnson's Obituary
Donald C. “Don” Johnson passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the age of 79 years. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. Don was a snowbird, living in Trento, Michigan and spending winters in Tavares, Florida at the Holiday Mobile Park. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Don worked for Ford Steel, a division of Ford Motor Company, as a Human Resources Supervisor and then an Accountant. Don was a hands on type of person and believed if you could do it yourself, you should. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking as well as a good game of Golf. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Johnson and Floyd Johnson and his sister, Ursula Day. Don is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Arveille “Val” Johnson; sons, Michael Johnson of Kenai, Alaska and Dennis Johnson of Harbor Springs, Michigan; daughter, Susan Lyson of Wyandotte, Michigan; four grandchildren, Kimberly Lee and her husband, Michael of East Tawas, Michigan, Jessica Lovay and her husband, Justin of Boyne City, Michigan, Matthew Lyson and his wife, Chelsea of Taylor, Michigan and Nicholas Lyson of Wyandotte; and one great grandson, Calvin Lovay.
